The South African Deep-Sea Trawling Industry Association is giving out internship/graduate programmes for a select number of passionate scholars in the country. The SADSTIA Internship/Graduate Programmes is an initiative to promote trawler owners and to upskill a new generation of potential operators that can delve into the world of Cape hake. Over the course of 12 months, this is a fantastic opportunity to literally work and learn in the ocean. This programme is perfectly catered for graduates who have pursued their studies in the fields of Engineering, Natural Science, and Technology.

Acknowledging the urgent demand for more manpower in South Africa’s fishing industry, this has become the foundation of forming the “SADSTIA Science Academy”. Young generations of the nation’s citizens can build new insights on how the industry works and put their theoretical knowledge into real-time practice. Graduates are more than welcome to develop themselves by participating in this opportunity. It is a great opportunity to establish a solid, career path, and at the same time, learn from some of the best experts in the field.

Note: selected participants of the programme are entitled to a remuneration. The amount will be set accordingly to the TETA funding model on a monthly basis.

The SADSTIA (South African Deep-Sea Trawling Industry Association) Internship/Graduate Programme comes with several important requirements.
